ps. Sury, Kp stands for Geomagnetic Activity (storm intensity) level which produces these magnificent lights. The higher the number the more gorgeous the Northern lights are.

Glad you guys liked them, To have Northenlights at my latitude ( same as Stockholm ) dont happen very often but twice this year.
For the Aurora Borealis to be visible here KP needs to be at least 5 and we hit 9 that day ( must have been a hell of solarstorm ), so even southern UK could see it.

Dusty, Sury! You guys don't have to die!!! Just cross the border to Canada (Manitoba) and make sure you looked on the aurora forecast http://www.gi.alaska.edu/AuroraForecast/NorthAmerica, http://www.arcticrange.com/en/aurora

as I can see from my house in Winnipeg almost every month...

As I said before, Aurora in Winnipeg is a very often subject on the sky. I got new shots with my old a300 + Opteka Fisheye.
