. The fisheye works really well for these pictures.
Nex 5, Nex 6 (IR), A7M2, A99 and a bunch of lenses.

I'll be repeating Birma's observations myself, yes, the fisheye works so well in creating the extra drama factor; there's an alienness to the whole series although we should have been accustomed to seeing strange shapes and vivid neon colours of the phenomena by now. : )

I have admit by my experience shooting the north light the best result I have with fish eye lens and a300 with CCD matrix. Fish eye can make almost all the sky and CCD matrix make way less noise on ISO 100 - ISO 200 and a very impressive colour, not like any CMOS matrix.
