If you are, so are we, Mike. Looks fine. : )mikehawthorne wrote:....

How about distancing yourself from this project for a while and return to it in a few months' time? I'm sure the future will yield its own changes on such processing approaches. Don't be hasty...

I'm sure practicing Photoshop won't just end with this portrait + background blending and you'll proceed with the other photos you shoot in the mean time. What I meant was that, your views on handling such imagery may slightly change over time and maybe you'll find a better way of expressing this photo combination. You know how time changes our perception on things by putting things in a different perspective.

hi aster
honestly i have never been offended on this sight, but it is true if i see an image and i think i can work it, i will get a bee in my bonnet and keep on when i could as you say come back later, in fact i have cocked up many things not just images for example leeky central heating tighten the joint leak stopped, but i had to go that bit extra and eneded up getting a plumber!
so i know were your coming from.
all best

Re: old times
Welcome to my world, Mike. It started with a leaky faucet in the kitchen, replaced the washer to prevent leak, leading to replacing the faucet. Tried to replace the faucet and that lead to replacing the sink.
To cut the chase, 4 months and $70K later, ended up with new kitchen cabinets, floors, apliances and oh, yes, new faucet.
You are lucky to stop at just calling a plumber.

It is a good thing we don't have it at home either. I am safe.
