Thanks Mike! It is such a wonderful place for scenes likes this. I'm sure there is an element of "shooting fish in a barrel" :)

Before taking this picture my daughter and I had just given up kite flying, the wind being too blustery, and had started to draw pictures in the sand. We noticed some 'weather' coming towards us, but were relieved when it missed us and went over the hills to the North (as it often seems to!). I had the Nex 6 with me and grabbed as few frames as the rain went by. I had the SEL 50/1.8 lens on the camera and in these big Scottish landscapes 50mm, even on APS-C sensors, still provides a good sense of scale I think.
Nex 5, Nex 6 (IR), A7M2, A99 and a bunch of lenses.

I really like the color of the water in that shot Andy.

Here's one more from Yanque.

That shot is a bingo.
Exposure in the foreground matches the sky nicely. Looks like you could gain some local exposure for the mid-ground mountains on the right.

Love the colour of the sea, Sury, and the churning of the waves against the rocks. A beautiful spot. Not sure about the zany angle of the horizon :)

Phew! Thanks Sury :). I know some people like an off angle horizon, so if it was a statement then that's fine. I do prefer it this way though.

Couple from different times.
The first one is from Iron Horse Winery in Sonoma, California. Yes, the horizon is not at level,
but after a few glasses of wine, what you see is what I got. (I felt too lazy to go back to step 1).

Image

The second one from Oak Canyon, Arizona. Few months after my visit last year, the area was ravaged by a
wild forest fire. One of the scenic drives I would recommend anyone driving down from Flagstaff, Arizona
to Phoenix, Arizona if you can spare an extra couple of hours.

Still going through my pictures from the summer on the Isle of Harris in Scotland. A rather grey flat evening was suddenly transformed when the wind got up, and the sun broke through some of the storm clouds blowing up from the South West. I was exploring the hills above the Luskentyre estuary, so I used my telephoto zoom to focus on the golden light down in the bay looking west towards Taransay island.
