I have a bit more to say about my $19 28-105 xi. I tried forcing myself to use it, fearing that it just isn't too good. It seems like it needs a lot of light. Well, it needs stopping down a bit for better results, and on an overcast day, it was a bit of a mess. But with daylight and stopped down about one and a half stops (or more), it looked pretty good! I'm pleased with some results at f7.1 and f8. It just needs to be a bright day. I had poor results using flash, though. Need more time to figure this thing out.... :?:
