It's never too late. Our Christmas is on the old and traditional day (we didn't change it). It was and remains on January the 6th. And for history sake the change from Jan. 6th to Dec. 25th was after 1040 A.D. (don't know the exact date).

I didn't know that the Circumcision of Jesus was celebrated (not many carols about it!) but here's a suitable festive image from last month's trip to Mallorca - a not-very-sharp cheap tripod mounted grab of part of a triptych, now I have a new Gitzo carbon fibre 6X Traveller there won't be any more unsharp shots... I hope:



I keep reading stuff on Nikon dPreview forum with posters saying they have tried the A900, useless at ISO 400, etc etc - don't know what they have been doing. This was suitably underexposed at 400 and then pulled up by +1.65 stops in ACR, without any sharpness loss or noise problems - plenty of shadow data to extract good colour and tones from the original:



I don't like the look of that knife! It is interesting to see these rural Mediterranean artworks from 600+ years ago, the Arabic influence on the fashions shown (current then, rather than trying to represent 0AD) is so evident.
