BTW, I'm sorry about the bad post processing -this pictures were taken with the Dimage 7Hi, all in RAW, and processed years ago. I loaded this files in Lightroom last month and I started DAMing them, but I haven't had time to finish with tit, before I re-process this Africa's pics.

It was a nice trip, and a journey... I learn a lot of things, specially about myself. That camel probably got lost. And since cars took over the desert, camels are not that valuable anymore, so nobody looked for him -it always make an interesting picture.

Another tree, less solitary and more tropical-like, this time in Juffure, The Gambia (the building is the primary school)

Really like that last huge African tree Pako - interesting to see some African trees.

Here are a couple of pictures of a dead tree near to where I live that I regulary pass by. It is not completely solitary, but I think it looks isolated as all of the other trees are still very much alive! Both taken on the same day last year, different angles and different approaches .

I like both of these images, but I am especially fond of the second one.

The conversion to black and white works very, very nicely for me, and I suspect that in color the image would be pretty but would not be as striking.

Like Dr. told ... yest I will usually not wake up early for sunrise , so it is sunset.

Only artists, painters and photographers can see the charm a solitary body of a tree arouses...
