I most say that the sigma 70-300 is very handy when u want shallow DOF and nice bokeh, i am loving that lens more and more i have tried to take the same pictures with my 17-70 but the DOF is nowhere near the 70-300, the only downside with it is the closets distans to the objects 95cm versus 22cm with the 17-70.

Very nice series Dennis. On DSC000093 and 96 I find the yellow background reducing the impact of the foreground flower which is
in a similar color, thus losing some impact of the details. But that could be my monitor too.

I agree that it´s a bit yellow, but they are straight out the camera so no post processing

Sharp Dandelion. Would the bokeh be creamier with f5.6 or bigger aperture? Just curious. I am slowly being drawn into Zeiss vortex

Sury, I don't have dandelions with wider aperture for now, but am gladly linking one with f/4 of a Syringa (Lilac)
As for succumbing, well I'm afraid you have a long explanation to your wife
