How could I miss this sunrise shot?! :D

Lovely colours, Dr. Harout. You reside on a very nice spot. If only we could all somehow get rid of all the cables and poles...and the satellite dishes, then photos of such loveliness will look even better.

Hi Henry, : )

Very attractive moments and enjoyable shots. Can feel the warmth.

Sunny Scotland, as ever... plus the gas repair crew which was called out this morning because a main had fractured under the road next to a damaged electricity cable, power cut off from 10.30 to 4pm. Fortunately it is not cold, around 5°C or so and the house stayed warm - just very silent. I found out that the 12v rechargeable battery pack for my Lilliput 7" HDMI camera monitor was exactly right - including the cable and polarity - to fire up a Netgear ADSL Wireless Router, and that gave us back our internet connection via laptops. Shirley asked me 'is there such a thing as a battery powered router?' - and I remembered this power pack.

Several years ago we had a bad storm - straight line winds over 60 MPH, and knocked the power out for several days. I had an inverter, so I parked the riding mower out in front of the home office, hooked it up and it powered my router and computer. Every so often I would just start the mower to give it a recharge. Worked like a charm!

Wednesday Night
Partly Cloudy. Low: 7 °C. Wind South 5 km/h. Windchill: -1 °C

It was a chilly day... and evening. :)
In the evening, the downtown streets were very much alive with people rushing to their destinations, while some stopped at the food vendors for fast a meal or shopped for fresh fish...

Here are a couple of shots from this evening... : )

5ºc. & Rain SW. BC Canada.

Had a few hectic days, had time to take a few photos today. Some splendid shots posted here lately.

Loving Asters market walks, capturing the colour & atmosphere so well.

One magnificent tree there Greg, glad it stood its ground. Great capture.

Good to see the weather changing for the better Birma, looks like you
had the Old Hills to yourselves. Two really nice shots.

Very nice sunset Doc.

Henry's fun in the sun shots always a pleasure to look at this time of year.

Couple from today.

Going by Boundary Bay airport, one landing and some taking off.

DA, that biplane along with the wild gees (probably) make an excellent shot. Old planes are much more photogenic than newer ones (for me, at least).

I back these thoughts myself! :D Photogenic and in human scale so that they really are photographer-friendly.

Really enjoyed the yellow biplane and the geese, David Antony. : ) Glad to see your shots, too.

Thank you for the compliments, David Antony and Henry.

"Body Worlds Exhibition"

I went to Istanbul Modern, a museum for modern art, that had that extraordinary plastinated real human being specimens on display which most of you might have seen and heard of when exhibited in your cities/countries. No photo shooting was allowed inside so I have none to share of the specimens, unfortunately.

It is a very good exhibition and I was there for a long time taking in every detail of each specimen. :)

A couple of shots of the gate and surroundings of the Museum and then the Flocks of Birds that paint our skies with their bodies as speckled ribbons. : )

Thanks for your patience.

Later in the evening, the flocks of birds that we love watching so much were there to entertain us yet again and we hope to see many more. :D

This was taken just a second or two prior. As you can now see
they are ducks.

Nice shots Yildiz.
Third shots from both batches are superb. :D

DA, I was really not sure they were wild gees, that's why I quoted "probably".
One more great shot.

It was pretty warm today here during the day, but this evening, the temperature dropped rapidly and it became pretty cold. Cold weather often means clear skies and this was the case now too.

I tried my first astronomy shots this evening and got pretty nice results, even with my Sony DT 55-200 SAM kit lens.
