Thanks for the links Sonolta, I had seen them when I first decided to buy a Tamron lens. At the time I was weighing my options between the Sony 100mm and the Tamron 90mm. I had ordered them both on the same day but the Tamron dealer acted faster and the lens was sent to my adress almost the second day so I cancelled my other option of Sony and decided to stay with my Tamron while still in the learning curve of Alpha DSLR's. I have no regrets and it does a beautiful job with still objects and flowers.

Thank you for the support David. I use manual focus more than AF myself, just haven't done it on moving creatures. I've tried shooting the flowers in the balcony that sway in the breeze to see if I could get some to be properly in focus and can say that I'm improving..
As far as I'm concerned, it's a diligent, very function-prone and sharp lens that delivers nice colours and textures...
