Finally, the pelicans returned to Manitoba, Canada, but looks like too soon.

Nice shot though. Will they survive the cold weather? Just curious.

Good shot Sury! I hope they will be ok. In the next few days the temperature should rise and the river will be open from ice. I actually went to shot the beginning of the ice-jam and saw a flock of pelicans flew to the island.

Wow! love the Grebe Mark.

Those Pelicans have been taken by surprise with the more severe winter it seems Valery, what are the brown jobs? They look a bit big for ducks, geese maybe?

Great PIF Sury, what is the lump on the top of the beak? I’ve not noticed that on Pelicans here before.

Thank you Greg. I would not know what that lump for? I saw them on all of the Pelicans I shot (with the camera).

The brown jobs are Canada Geese (Branta canadensis)

Two from today.

I've notices that if I MF the 70-300G or 70-400G on my a580 the chances of nailing the focus goes up. That doesn't feel like a good thing, but it does give me the oppertunity to train more with MF. Both pictures are manual focussed with the 70-400G, a580 on a monopod.
