Thanks for the feedback. I agree. The images only hold value for the story they tell. Not so much for technical excellence.
He shot 66 for the first 18. He was first in the field. Not so much for the 2nd 18. Missed the cut by a few strokes and missed out on the dream of playing in the nation's championship in essentially his own back yard.

That must have been devastating. I hope he picked up his clubs next week and moved on.
I have not hacked since 2000 when I suffered debilitating frozen shoulder phenomenon
that happens to Diabetics. I read somewhere that the game of Golf is always between
you and the turf. Akin to arguing with yourself and often losing the argument.

Perhaps it is time to dust off the old clubs.... :)

Golf is the hardest thing I have ever done. It taught me discipline and humility. It's as much between the ears as between myself and the turf. Golf also got me into photography.
So yes, scrape off the dust. Nothing wrong with another expensive habit. Your wife won't mind.

I am sure she welcomes it. At least I will be out of her face with my camera.
She thinks based on my scores, I get confused between Golf and Bowling.
Perhaps I will dust off that golf bag. :)

The story ends on a sad note. All that preparation. All that emotional capital invested. For Naught.

You are talking about the tournament right? The contemplative mood nicely captured.
