Just a few of these Camellias open so far. Hope the cold weather we get this week-end doesn't damage the rest? took this today.

We had a mild spell couple of week back which might have fooled the Camellias Greg.
This is how it faired after last nights minus 6ºc. 20' from the house protected from wind
so no chill factor. Took this at todays high. Gonna snow tomorrow so it should get
warmer.

I'm impressed with that flower DA, surviving minus 6deg. I suppose if flowers were to get wet and then freeze it would do some damage.

Hi David Antony,

Lovely camellia shot. Camellias seem to enjoy low temperatures, I found.

Here's one more from me to add to the camellias in this thread. Shot yesterday at 0-zero Celcius because of windchill.
And some purpleblue Primroses from the past weeks.

Hi Yildiz - love the watery sheen on the Camelia and great colours. What a lovely show of blue primroses as well. It is certainly starting to feel a bit more spring like in the Northern Hemisphere, even if there are still hints of winter hanging about.

Snowdrops. These lovely wild flowers are at their peak in the local woods and I was lucky enough to find some nice drifts of them yesterday. I would have really liked a nice flippy live view screen and close-up focus ability yesterday, rather than crawling through the mud and last year's braken and brambles to get a nice low view .

Thats how my Camellias look a lot of the time Yildiz, great capture. The light and colour of the Primroses is something very special.


Lovely Snowdrops there Birma. Fresh natural looking colours & nicely composed. I like all of those shots.

Very vibrant those Primroses Yildiz, they make quite an impact, no Tulip sprouts yet I suppose?
Everything does look damp there Birma, I can imagine what it would be like trying to get a low angle, maybe you should talk to the boss about the tilting screen models....a few subtile hints.... nice shots btw, it must be pleasant to go into the woods and see such vigorous new life despite the dampness.
