:D Love the shots...
I don't have a 500 f8 therefore I won't be able to get busy in this part of the world but I am going to be expecting more good shots from you in suspense. You've got the goodies! :)

Thanks for shaaring,

As I was taking photos of the other deer, I heard a fump-fump-HUMPHFFFF behind me. I turned around and saw this fellow (about 40 ft away) staring me down. We were about the same in height but his antlers made him taller and more intimidating than me. As we stood there staring at each other, I thought "I might as well get a shot before I get gored to death." I slowly raised the camera and took a few photos. Then as I lowered the camera he turned away and pranced back into the trees. It was as if he WANTED me to take HIS photo TOO. :) But I didn't stick around to find out otherwise. I quickly made my way back to my car.

Hi, Sig; :)

Lovely creature and you used the depth of field of the lens so nicely that the foreground and the background have this enigmatic bokeh while the creature is fully sharp and all its features and especially the beautiful eyes are nicely captured while gazing back at you. # 2 especially. And the 3rd is a grace on the eyes and mind.

Great capture.
You are lucky to have gotten that shot. Bucks are super careful about showing themselves.
What's up with the left ear?

JBTaylor, the left ear is straightened up right behind left part of the antler. :)

Love the 3rd one in the first set best. Perhaps it was curious about your camera in the last one Valery?
I agree. Not a good idea to have a moose chose you as a play toy.

Pretty interesting expressions on that mousse's face.
