Female Contributors ?

I know that I can't tell by your log - ins and even the one's with photographs cannot be taken at face value, but how many female photographers are there contributing ?

Lens Lore with it's " male geek attempting attitude " at times may not appeal to genteel lady photographers, but most of the female photographers I know don't fit into that category.

And now I will slip out to get my address taken off the electoral roll and the local phone book. Perhaps while I am about it, go to the local hardware store for a mirror to attach to a broom handle so that I can use the car.

Very few so far. Shirley would post images but she's involved in running some other websites where it's undesirable for the admin and moderators to be traceable, so she uses a pseudo for all photos (and for herself) and will not repeat the photo postings here - people will go to extremes to find photo matches when hunting down moderators who have removed them from forums, even her Alamy stock photos have caused her problems on that front.

Understandable - but wondering how she's getting on with the A700 since you moved full-time[?] to the A900 - how does she think it compares to the KM5D/A100/A200 ?

Interested since you've mentioned before that she has a different shooting style to you, and so presumably different criteria for what she likes/dislikes in a camera body...

I can only tell you that so far the 18-250mm has not been stellar on the A700, while it was perfect on the A200. I'm doing the image processing for our last trip, and although she prefers the 700 in every way, I'm not convinced that the hit-rate is better. But, I'm comparing her shots alongside A900 pix at the same place and maybe my benchmark is shifting too far...
