Decided to buy an a300...

Unread post by Ian C »

Thought is was about time to upgrade my Alpha 100... sort of....

After long hard thinking, I have decided to buy the a300... I am more than happy with 10mp and the performance of my a100.....which the a300 will still give including some good features from the a350 :)

Will let you guys know what I think of it when I get one in the next few days :)

Ian C :)

You almost sounded like you were rationalizing to yourself...why not spring the extra $100 and get a different sensor?

I Was thinking of getting the a350 or going the extra for the a700.... But I have this sneaky feeling that next year we will be seeing some sort of a800 with 16mp and liveview... so I decided to save the extra and replace my now tired a100.

Love the sound of the a900 but that's rather expensive! plus 24mp for me would probably be over kill.

Love the Sony range, but for me there are certain features I'm looking for now and Live View is something I miss from my Compact Camera Days, it just saves a lot of time I think....

We will see :) but I have a feeling I am going to love it.

I still shoot with my trusty D7D Doc
(although I have an urge for A700 now when prices have dropped, A700 body for ~$1070 in Sweden)
