T2 connection for Sony Alpha

Unread post by [email protected] »

How can one connect T2 manual mount lenses to Sony Alpha 700 camera (or any other Sony Alpha bodies) - is there a special function override to overcome shutter lock when the lens does not have AF connectivity ? I have several that have metal T2 mounts and with no electronic connectivity. :?:

The A700 does have a menu setting to let the shutter release without a lens attached. thats the function your looking for to ake the manual lenses work

Beware! The labelling of the menu item that controls the shutter lock with no lens attached is somewhat misleading. Read carefully and then think twice whether 'on' or 'off' is what you want.

it says "release W/O Lens" then you select enable/disable for your manual lens you want to be able to release without lens, therefore you want that to be enabled.. it probably would have been better if it said simply Yes/No
