Interesting...though you'd have to weigh up the results a little according too the amount of time a particular model has been out on the shelves...look at the A350 though, it's about half of the total Sony DSLR sales...wow, the more high end cams are swamped in a sea of consumer type cams, except for the D300 (wow), and the 50D is coming on strong considering it's only been out a short time...nary a sign of the 5D II (not out long), the D3 & D3X (not out long), the A700, A900, but the FF D700 made an appearance, so it's selling well by comparison too all the other FF's.

Any world wide numbers out there?

An a700, an a550 and couple of a580s, plus even more lenses (Zeiss included!).

Yes, and that has me worried if I think about the way things went with music. We have analog and digital recording gear to produce excellent recordings and with far more possibilities than ever before (compare with the "Beatles time" in Abbey Road). And what is everyone listening to: MP3's on their iPods! Are we heading the same way with photography?Greg Beetham wrote:...wow, the more high end cams are swamped in a sea of consumer type cams, except for the D300 (wow), and the 50D is coming on strong considering it's only been out a short time...nary a sign of the 5D II (not out long), the D3 & D3X (not out long), the A700, A900

Don't act like a little hysterical girl, please.
Next time you paste something here from Novemeber, for the whole year 2008, please give it some backup.
Sony figures worldwide are about 2x better than this statistic shows.

Look, fellahin, this is an open forum. Ban A1000 and I ban Sonolta! My choice is is ban neither of you. Please moderate your differences, calm down, do not drive sensitive souls away from these forums.
But, keep arguing a bit, it's interesting as a spectator sport. Just don't go over the top.
I'll just ask Prague to be more prague-matic and those in Illinois to make less ill-noise!
Sorry about that. Been out for Burns Night 250th anniversary dinner and had too much of the good stuff!

interesting that the a700 did not make it into the list, a350 did well, I think the live view and pixel count do well in Japans market.
It would be good to see brake down like this for other countries, One of the bigger Sony resellers (in terms of volume of sales, not size of stores) in Melbourne, Australia said the a200 and a300 where his bigest sellers.
