Diamond Head, Holona Blow Hole, Makapuʻu Beach

Unread post by bakubo »

Yesterday with friends we climbed to the top of Diamond Head (second time for us), stopped for lunch, and then we drove over to the Holona Blow Hole overlook and from there then went to Makapuʻu Beach. A fun day. I took my A700 and 18-250mm with me and took a few photos. The first photo is of the Holona Blow Hole, the second one is the ocean near the blow hole, and the third one is at Makapuʻu Beach.

Let's post some ocean or beach photos. Feel free to push the envelope since I know that not everyone has a chance to shoot the ocean much. Post lake or river photos too. Basically, anything water related is fine! I am easy, I just like for all of us to share our photos. :)

Nice colours in your seascapes Henry.
The best I can do at short notice is a pan (35mm on APS-C) of Townsville/Castle Hill and the river/harbour entrance.

and a shot of my brother catching bait...accross the bay, only way too there is by boat.

Nice shots.

And just to prove there's at least a little water in Colorado, one from fairly close to home:

I thought this should really have been for dramatic sea images, not rivers, but since it's gone into any sort of water no matter what, here's Kelso at sunset:

Doing this for a week costs more than the A900 if you are after salmon. This guy is not in a boat, he's using a small rod, so probably just paying the cost of a roll of film a year to catch trout.

Probably would been better if it had been kept to that..!
