New Alpha 200 - no depth of field preview

Unread post by Pooh »

Having finally decided on buying the Sony Apha 100 ... there's the new Alpha 200. The 200 looks much better than the 100 in many respects, but there is 1 big flaw in my view: the depth of field preview appears to be omitted entirely from the 200. And the depth of field preview was one of the things are really missed on my digital compact camera; I would like to see depth of field before I take a picture and I do not want to check it on the screen afterwards. So what do I do know? Buy the 100 now or wait for the 200? Help, anyone?

I only occasionally use dof preview on my 5d, so probably won't miss it - sods law dictates I would if I bought the A200.

But.....

PMA is coming, so why not wait till the end of the month to see what's around the corner.

And if it helps, Argos have both the A100 body and A200 kit on their site.

A200 kit - £449
A100 body - £519

Hmm, bargain
