Wedding photographer switches to A900 and writes article

I saw this posted on another forum and thought it was pretty good so I will post it here. A wedding photographer has written a nice, long article discussing the merits of various systems he uses or has used for weddings. His current top pick is the A900 and lenses. Good article and interesting comments by him and others at the end.

That's a good review / article. I enjoyed reading his views on the multiple camera systems and their lenses. A good word for Sony's Alpha Fullframe packages, definitely and with good reasons that rely on logic.

It is a shame that the author of the article spend his time snobing Minolta "legacy" lenses, ignores the Minolta/Sony 35 mm f1.4 G and misregard the 100mm macro that, even if it is an old design, it is still optcaly as god as the newer Nikon and Canon counterpart (but I recon the 100mm Macros' AF speed is slow...)

Yes, the A900/A850 and Minolta/Sony/Zeiss lenses can make a good system for wedding (Ex: http://www.adoramapix.com/pako/book.mvc ... ecker-copy basically shoot with A850, KM 17-35 f2.8-4; KM 28-75 f2.8 and M 100 f2.8 Soft Focus and Metz 60 CT1)

Erm 35mm f1.4 G, well it just seems a horrible price, and does not seem to deliver as well as it should do.

The author have had the chance to try several different really expensive systems, why the 35 mm f1.4 price will be an issue for him?

I doubt the price would be an issue, the performance might be though!
