A friend sent me a link to this wonderful video of time-lapse done with a Canon 5D Mk II.

Re: Time Lapse Eruption
Yep pretty good, resoution wise. I saw the report by the Heilo crew that landed on the summit while it was blasting lumps of red stuff up into the air, you could see the shockwaves in the smoke at each blast and the stuff was travelling at faster than the speed of sound up into the air, also lightning crackling accross the smoke stuff....it all looked like a very dangerous place to be...I kept thinking 'what the' get the hell out of there you idiots, that thing could really pop any minute, anyway the Heilo pilot decided too round up the boffins who were busy admiring it and do just that, get out of there right away....good move.

That was awesome Birma, thanks. I've done one star time lapse, but that was way beyond anything I have ever seen. John
