Flora/Fauna - Fogo Island

Another attempt at something out of the ordinary for me; birds, bugs and flowers. Should I be sticking to my landscapes?
I was playing with my Alpha and trusty old Minolta 100-200mm f/4.5 lens yesterday to capture these.

The bluejay and sparrow were taken through my dirty living room window, so it's surprising they turned out at all.

Glen, all 3 of them are great. The bokehs are just great,with a special configuration in the third.

Three excellent images imho Glen. The subjects are nice and sharp, great colours and very attractive backgrounds as the Doc says. I hope you'll continue to shoot and sahrew with us these kind of subjects, as well as your lovely landscapes. More flowers next I think .

I think the turned out very well! I only find the 2nd one cropped a bit too tighlty, for my personal taste.

These are indeed good with very special subjects too. The first and the third are composed smartly to give full coverage of the subjects while keeping a subtle eye on the background. The sparrow (I think) in the second image is lovely and would benefit from a little decenterization, I would say... : ))

Landscape, butterflies and birds and now will you be directing your camera low on the ground to subjects like reptiles and insects next? You seem to be moving fast into that direction...
