How would you explain this to a non native speaker? Any link to Elephants? I must have been sleeping when we discussed these words in english class. What are the rules (nr of posts) to be this or that?

As you progress up the number of post you will find the grades of the Secret Lodge of Photoclubalpha Forum Posters become more interesting. I can reset the number of posts required or the names at any time, just to confuse people. Originally this forum was so quiet there was no danger of anyone getting to the ultimate accolade of the Ranking System, which will take you many years before you appear as:

Complete Nutter!

However, I will probably change that to something complimentary before anyone comes within distance. You would have to make well over 10,000 posts to get there.

The numbers of posts required to reach each grade are on a doubling scale, based on the quoted ppi resolutions of major inkjet brands as they progressed from 1994 onwards. The two highest grades use figures which have never been claimed as a ppi resolution - yet - by any printer maker.
