My best friend, a coon dog, died yesterday. Daisy was two years old. This one is for her. RIP my friend.

Re: One for Daisy
That looks suitably sombre, with the subdued lighting, but the spirit is lifted by the sky display, a fitting tribute.

Ps how does a dog that is only two years old up and die?

Re: One for Daisy
She was hit by the UPS truck. I am not sure how she got to the road. She wasn't a car chaser. It crushed her hips beyond repair. I tried to keep her locked up but she always seemed to dig under the fence.

Re: One for Daisy
I had a suspicion that might be it, the old traffic problem, thing is I’ve found over the years that if a dog is taken out on forays/walks into the countryside by the owner on occasion, they don’t much like being cooped up after that and will try to get out and go for a bit of a scout around themselves just to see what’s cooking, and sometimes they might see a cat or such on the other side of the fence also….there isn’t much one can do about that, it’s the luck of the draw…

Yeah. If she got on the trail of something she didn't stop till it was treed. With that I didn't hunt with her. She was a pet.

A very successful shot for a tribute, Cosmonaut.
Nicely taken.
Sorry to hear of her getting a fatal injury and passing.
Thanks for sharing,
Yildiz

Very sad to hear about Daisy. As Greg has said, that picture is a fine tribute.

Very sad for your loss
Great image, but I think you might need a sensor cleaning

Re: One for Daisy
Thanks all, I have fixed the sensor specks. It cleans itself when I flip it off and then back on. Funny I owned many different Olympus cameras and never got a dust spot, not once.

Re: One for Daisy
No she wasn't in heat, but at the time I thought her pregnant but the Vet said she wasn't. Sunday's are hardest. That was our day for R&R.
