The foreground is sharp because I cropped out the closer, out-of-focus part of the image--there was too much vegetative foreground in the original. Since the remaining plants don't contribute much, but distract, I'll try some treatment of them to make them less apparent. Thanks for your comments.
(Sounds like we both like Karl Popper. Too bad more of the world isn't into his logical approach.)
