Peter - I think you have some high noise-reduction 'smearing' going on there, and you have missed focus

Great capture and composition of the ruins. As for the sentiment of the image,
I would like the ruins to have a darker tone to reflect the "ruins" part of it.
Dark, gloomy, forlorn and ravaged by time. This one looks a "tad cheery" (my editorial).

Mount McKinley in Alaska. This was with Tamron 28-200 at 35mm on A900. Shows how close
we were on that unpressurized plane. I pretty much faded out due to altitude causing a
hypoglycemic episode (scary feeling but luckily I had my candy with me). We were at about 21000+ feet,
(7000+ meters) in an unpressurized plane with oxygen masks. This one was taken by my wife.
I post processed in PS7.

I love it Andy. Great capture of that innocent moment.

I love the two harbor shots, but not able to "connect" them for the contrast.

Andy, that's a very cute shot. BTW, I see through EXIF that you used a Sony DSC-V1. Did you make adjustments to the IR filter on it?

Richard, I like both shots and, indeed, the second contrasts the first a lot. I notice the lady was getting herself ready for the shot.
