For Your Eyes Only: Bosphorus-Istanbul

Unread post by aster »

Hi,

To follow in the new tradition of sending photos of our vicinity to the forum I'd like you to meet our very own Bosphorus during one of the celebrations at night. This photo was taken within the month I first purchased my Sony Alpha 100 +Sony SAL 18-200mm, while I was still learning about my camera.
I know the chimney is obstructive and is looking rather ugly but I haven't done any post-processing yet to alter anything.

I hope you enjoy a glimpse of what it looks and feels like to be in Istanbul as this kind of light shows are rather frequent here. :)

Yildiz

ps. I'll try to add more of my land's photos eventually (hopefully)...
ps2. The subject line being 'for your eyes only' is be cause this photo was never published anywhere else before, and you're the first to see it.

Hi Yildiz,
If you had not mentioned the chimney I wouldn't have seen it. A very nice shot.
By the way, do you have any site where you upload your pictures? If yes, I'll tell you the way to post pictures here.
Anyway, it's not hard to open a site such as in Picassa, flicker, ringo etc.
As I suspect you are living in Istanbul you have a lot to post here
Keep up the good work.

Thank you Dr. Harout, :)

You suspect right, I do live in Istanbul and I will try to upload special photos that I think qualify to Photoclubalpha.
I don't have a gallery at an external hosting website at the moment but I may select one in the near future so that I can link my images of bigger dimensions. I know how to link images from other sites using the html tags, thanks for the reminder though. :D

Thanks again,
Yildiz
