A900 800 ISO 70-300 at 300 AF continuous

Unread post by David Kilpatrick »

Shot use AF-C and 5fps (but not a sequence, I found it easy to control one, two, three shot bursts as needed): 1/1600th at f8, 70-300mm at 300m, ISO 800 on the camera:

Image

Aimed and grabbed as the duck came in for a splash landing, so composition not wonderful! But it's nailed the focus, apparently catching the splashed water as sharper than the duck as a target.

Provides, again, a very large full size image view or download.
