Still a rainy day in Istanbul. Not very different from yesterday.. : )
Hi Greg,
Thank you for the detailed explanation on the rocket-shaped seeded trees and the local eco-system. If trees are happy to be in ocean water then who are we to stop them! More trees with micro life the better for the planet.
I love the view from the top of the bridge. : ) More reason to take the camera with when heading out the town on a bike. Hopefully there'll be no drunk drivers to actually want to drive right thorough the refuge wall...
Thanks for sharing.
Hi Sury, : )
Good to see you excited with lenses enough to go out and show proof of the rain! : ))
Thanks for sharing,
Yildiz

Weather in San Jose, California was 13oC/55oF. It has been raining throughout the day,
and windy too. Managed to get few quick snaps while there was a bit of lull.
With best regards,
Sury

Re: Weather Today - In Your Vicinity (2012)
Looks like the north is really starting too cool down now, Dusty has snow, no snow for Sury, no snow yet Yildiz? I'm sort of hoping for a snow scene from Istanbul.
Greg
It suddenly rained cats and dogs this morning here, after no rain and dry for a month, it didn't even look like it was ever going to rain yesterday.

Weather In Istanbul:
Chance of Rain
Temperature: 6 °C ; Feels Like 2 °C
Wind(km/h): 18
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi Greg, : )
We had some snow last Thursday and Friday but it's all melted away now and rain took its place for the moment.
I didn't have time to shoot a most classical snowy scenery that you got accustommed to, from the balcony unfortunately. I'll try to do so with the next snow. I'm hoping there'll be more until and maybe after January 2013.
Thanks for sharing your very variable weather guys. North America certainly is vast enough to show different faces of the season.

Re: Weather Today - In Your Vicinity (2012)
We've had very wet weather for many days now and a lot of closed roads.
Today there was a short glimpse of blue sky but mostly overcast, wet and windy.

Re: Weather Today - In Your Vicinity (2012)
Very glad to see the bridge complete Greg . I'm quite relieved to see it complete.
Nice to see this great thread on the go again.
Weather dull, grey and damp here. Local rivers in flood but nothing too serious yet.

Re: Weather Today - In Your Vicinity (2012)
Thanks Birma, I dug up a photo from 2007 looking across towards the other side before they started building any road or bridge, that’s the way it was since I went to school (a few years ago), the red Ute is close to where the stonework for the bridge ramp now sits. I was sort of fond of its isolation, (but I like the bridge) only very seldom did anyone put in an appearance over there in a vehicle, the track was tidal and impassable a lot of the time. (It’s raining here at the moment even the frogs are coaking)
Greg
Have a great Xmas with the family.
It was late in the afternoon at the time, almost twilight I had to brighten it up quite a lot. (the smoke was from a bushfire)
A100 (KM18-200 I think)

Re: Weather Today - In Your Vicinity (2012)
Christmas day in Aberdeen was lovey with blue skies and sunshine so we went to the beach to have a walk with our springer.
We met a couple who were having Christmas lunch on the beach with their two springers.
We chatted for ages and were invited to join them for a glass of champagne!
What a great day.
And somthing for the evening (note my surname and the bottle brand).......
Seasons greetings to you all.
