I think I agree. I like the color and the tonality, but really wish I would have shot it a little wider. (It was a 1.7 I wish I would have taken it up to 4-5.6). Anyway, the whole shoot was an experiment, sort of a "when life hands you lemons, make lemonade sort of thing". One thing I like doing my my photography is taking the stuff 99.9% of people miss or walk right by on a daily basis and making it "intersting". I have a feeling that this 30 mins of shooting is going to turn into something bigger.jbtaylor wrote:The narrow DOF hurts the 2nd image.
Funny you say that, because these were the ones I originally went out to shoot....David Kilpatrick wrote:I love these colours. Reminds me of Sonolta's graffiti and textures!
No worries. taste in art is subjective. I was shooting those for a project/assignement called "color".Greg Beetham wrote:Lonnie to be honest I couldn't make up my mind about your first set, whether they were junk, (cracked and peeling paint over rusted steel), some sort of sociological message, or actually had some artistic merit...still can't decide, but I do quite like those last three images, I like the fresh look and the completely irrelevant abstract presentation....and I usually don't even like abstract....usually.
