My latest best shot

Hi guys,

Just thought you might like to see this weeks 'best shot', taken whilst walking through Leazes Park in Newcastle on my way to work.

It was pretty cold - the boating lake was frozen solid, just caught this as the sun came over the horizon.

I'll second that, although I don't know how one would hold a camera still enough in those conditions even with SSS, I'm damn sure I couldn't, but the photo speaks for itself...top work.

But Paul does say "as the sun came over the horizon" Doc, which, bearing a 'came' in the statement significantly implies the first lights of a sunrise... ...I hope...

Thanks for the comments, it was sunrise, although at this time of year it's not too early - that was about 08:30, I was on a later start (normally in by 07:30) so don't get the chance to photograph sunsrise much in winter.

When you get mornings like that though it's worth making the effort.
