Patchwork Windows
I took a wander through London one morning last year looking for inspiration - I thought that this was a bit different from the usual shots of the city

Re: Patchwork Windows
Let me guess - 70-300mm SSM G around 70 to 135mm? That level of distortion (fairly low, clean) is not common. About 1% correction needed?

Hi,
I saw this same photo with the same caption today in an other photo gallery and was wondering. Never would imagine the owner to be you. Quite a coincidence!
I like the colour and form selection you fitted inside the frame. You haven't listed a T&S lens in your signature, then I suppose you just arranged it to fit or used a correction tool?

This was taken with the 18-200 at 35mm and f8. Not too much processing - only cropped to get rid of some of the bits on the sides that didn't really fit the shot.

Yes, the 18-200mm is pretty neutral around 35-50mm settings, for distortion. I am surprised you managed to be so 'straight on' to the window at 35mm though.

Re: Patchwork Windows
David - the actual shot wasn't as straight as this. I had to correct the perspective to achieve the end result
