A real trooper
Since it was Daddy's birthday, Emma wasn't going to let me clear the driveway by myself. She pitched in, first with her toy plastic shovel, then wanted to use the real one. And she did!
Look at the expression of determination on her face! Note the full shovel of heavy, wet snow. And the look of satisfaction, even if she did only move it 3 inches! All in all, not bad for a 3 year old!

“Super trooper beams are going to find her
Shoveling off the snow on her father’s birthday
Oh, what a true treat to make it a joyful day
Super trooper...super trooper Emma hey!”
Happy birthday Dusty!

Wow Dusty, you'll have that driveway cleared in no time.

Nice snaps of a cute kid!
I have two girls. They did what Mommy did. Mommy didn't shovel snow.

So far my girls are "Daddy's little girls". Samantha went deer hunting with me last fall, Elizabeth will almost always want to help me when I'm fixing something, and Emma just tags along if she can. Maybe you just didn't give enough piggy-back rides when they were little!Winston wrote:Nice snaps of a cute kid!

Kevin, kids are always great subjects, unless you're trying to get them to do something! When they're yours it's just all that much better! My nieces, nephews and cousins have a lot of their childhood recorded due to the fact that I got a late start at marriage and children.KevinBarrett wrote:Precious! Of course, you should buy a ton of equipment now, because once they come, you find all your funds disappearing! I was pretty well set until I had to make the switch to digital. Now, I'm limping along without any primes and no external flash. That last I'll soon fix, when I order a Hong Kong flash shoe adapter and recover the use of my old flashes.

Re: A real trooper
The only kids I ever encounter are my nephews (Hams! They LOVE to have their picture taken), and my patients, of whom I cannot take pictures due to HIPAA. In the mean time I build the kit, and get a lot of pictures of my wife!
The HVL-F42AM is pretty cheap right now, to help with your flash deficite. Find it on Amazon or at Circuit City for around $200.
