Outside Looking In
Couple of shots playing with my new SAL-85F14Z on an a350.
Re: Outside Looking In
Cute!
Re: Outside Looking In
Hi Mike,
Very nice dog portraits with your new Carl-Zeiss indeed. Very smooth dof....and there's snow too!
In the first photo he/she thinks: "To be inside.."
In the second photo he/she thinks: "Or not to be inside...that's the survival question of the modern urban dog...hmm, and how did one play the piano again? Anyone..? "

Re: Outside Looking In
Both are cute, I mean the dog and the lens.
But I wouldn't mind a bigger picture.
Oh.... and welcome to the forum, Mike.

Re: Outside Looking In
Cute dogs, Magnus and Reagan are!
The larger files display many more nice details of the fur and the expressions Mike. Thanks for uploading them.
And, David Antony, you got Reagan in one of his attentive expressions and in a nice composition. But he still might be thinking like: "David, please at least clean the glass off of the corner dust before portraying me for the World to see. You're screening my immaculate, flawlessly handsome looks!"
(Only just kidding, nice frame.. )

Re: Outside Looking In
Thanks Yildiz, had I cleaned the outer glass he would've been gone :^)
Here is one of him looking out, less embarrassing for both of us, I think?

Re: Outside Looking In
Great shot of Reagan through the glass door. Glad to know I'm not the only one that needs to wash my door. The slobber marks do add to the realism though. Perhaps they should add a "slobber mark" filter to PS.

Re: Outside Looking In
Thanks Mike, He is only a 12 Ib-er so not too much of anything :^)
We used to run into a pair of Bernese at the park, they have to be
one of the nicest dogs in every way. Sadly they have a fairly short
life-span. One of the two dogs we knew passed on.
Doc, when I double click or *open image in new window* on Mike's
photos they come up to about the size of my last photo, a reasonable
size. Really nice shots!

Re: Outside Looking In
Thankfully, you both know that I'm only kidding about the 'marks' on the glass!
Reagan is a winner-of-hearts in the last photo. Looking very playful with his ball...
I also like the way you used the lens; only keeping the head and the ball sharp and letting the rest blur away by the shallow dof.
And here's what Reagan thinks. "Thank you David Antony, this is what I call making a marvellous first impression in the eyes of the world. Now everyone can see how athletic and sporty a little guy I am and my profile is a charmer indeed! I'm most definitely sure that the guys playing at NBA in the US are intimidated by me! Hah!! "
Thanks for sharing the sweet dogs!
