Three from this week I'd like to share

This is part of the oldest church in Newcastle (started in the 12th century) taken on my way to the station early on Wednesday morning



I was travelling to Birmingham for a meeting, this is taken in the centre of town



Back to work and the swans are getting frisky, the two not involved are I think other males hanging around in case the other one is not up to standard (wish I had a longer lens - the previous day when I didn't have a camera, six swans took off heading directly towards me, so I had brought the 28-135 hoping for that)

Love the atmospherically aged church walls and the setting of the actual garden. I can easily imagine some director picking this premise for an interesting movie.
The second is very sharp and I like those sculptures with their smooth surfaces against the rectilinear facade of the building elements. Taken from a different angle with a bit of different composing this would even work for the 'Right around the corner!' challenge.

Good shot of the swans also, but I think the swans look sharp enoough to allow for a closer look by cropping. That's because I think are in a different body language than we usually see them in.

I remember the second building. Was there in 2003.

No1 is a good setting piece for a thriller movie I reckon, I was trying too imagine how creepy it would be at midnight on a moonless night.
And I know it's not, but the rh statue looks like it's talking into a mobile, ha ha, little did they know back then that that pose could be ambiguous in the future.
Good swan photo indeed, you could say besides being a photo of swans it also has a scenic interest value as well, so in that context it's fine...for me.

Old churchyards are just mad for fog, we don't get much but I reckon I'll head back there when we next get some if I can.

Was your Birmingham trip on 2003 for the ISTH meeting by any chance doc? (if so I was at the same meeting)

No, it was related to STI (Sexually Transmitted Infection, or STD if you like).
I like UK a lot, much much better than too many other places (London excluded, so Londoners please do excuse my taste)
