Minolta 50mm/2.8 Macro

Hi

I have just ordered Minolta 50mm/2.8 macro and it will arrive after a week!
I have seen some great pictures on different sites but I would also like to hear your opinions concerning this lens!
If you could provide me some pictures of flowers and bugs to have a good imaginations of opportunities of this lens I will be very glad!

Basically it's the same Sony 50/2.8 Macro. So it should be wonderful. In fact, it is wonderful.

Doc I saw your pics of Sony 50mm/2.8 Macro and I liked them a lot.
If minolta is the same as sony one than I will be very happy I think

Both Minolta/Sony Macros are really good, object of desire for ore than one. If I'm doing flowers I'll take the 100mm more than the 50mm -I think the 100mm f2.8 is la creme de la creme and more versatile in the field than the 50mm. So, I don't have that many flowers to show you, but a portrait taken with the 7D some time ago:

Thank you for your post Pako, I really liked it, very sharp, very nice !
Of course I thought and dream a lot about Minolta 100mm macro but I hardly could pay for 50mm, 100mm is about $200 expensive.
