Waikiki panorama from the 41st floor

I haven't tried to do many panos, just one very quick one with Hugin (free). I shot a quick pano from my balcony and Hugin seemed to handle it very well, despite the program warning me that the images were only about 80% optimal for a pano stitch.

Very nice pano. Autostitch is pretty good, it copes better than most. Ghosting can be a problem. Panorama maker 4 is also worth checking out.

Thanks. I don't make panoramas much, but occasionally it occurs to me to take a few shots so that I can. The only software I have tried are the freebies.

What is really challenging is trying to make a panorama where there is movement of elements in the frames. For example, people moving around. You are always going to get ghosting. Just for grins I took 10 vertical photos with my digicam about an hour ago at the beach. Naturally, there are lots of people in the shots and there was movement, people walking by, etc. The Autostitch panorama has lots of ghosting. Take a look:

I hadn't heard of Hugin. Maybe I will check it out.
