a couple from the home of golf, st andrews

Unread post by gio67 »

although i'm not a golfer i was there last night taking pics, about 5pm the light suddenly changed dramatically for the better, the low sun on the grass, i went down to the 18th hole and was taking some pics when this little guy holed out a 20ft put to win the match, this is exactly how the light and colour of the grass was, the little undulations caught the shadow brilliantly, it looked terrific,
the little guy was made up when i asked for his e mail address to send the pic, he was from suffolk and it was the first time he had ever played the ancient and royal course and he said he was unlikely to do so again, glad i caught the moment for him.

not the best quality but they were a bit of a distance away

That's a perfect shot - timing could not be beaten really! He will be delighted.

Ah, The Old Course. Been there once, going back next year. Is there anything better that hanging out at the home hole in the beautiful town of St. Andrews?
Thanks for bringing back the memories.
