cant seem to find much on this new cam, just wondered how it compared to the A200. Is the new kit lens an improvement on the old one. Cheers Paul

It seems no one is using the a230 which is a shame. I sold my a200 a while back and am about ready to replace it again. Just wanted to know if the IQ had improved upto iso 400. That was all. cheers Paul UK

There are no signs that IQ will have improved in that range. The A380 versus A350 shows no real improvement at ISO 100-400 but the A380 is a little better for in-camera JPEGs at ISO 800 and above. For raw files, nothing much can be seen to distinguish them apart. The A200 already had exceptionally good image quality fom 100-400, so any improvement would be hard to spot. The big improvement with that particular sensor was between the A100 and the A200.

If I were you I would be looking for a good price on an A330 - or a very good price on an A700, which would be by far the best step up after selling an A200.
