There has been lots of talk about the noise of Sony SAM motors (and screw AF mechanism) and how that will be a big problem if video is added to DSLRs. Here is something new from NEC that might help Sony out:

Sony and Bose have this noise canceling technology. I think there is an automotive tie in too I first saw this on a car at a show. it had a mic to gather ambient sound and speakers i the head rest that canceled what the mic registered. I see a lot of people with the headphones on planes when I travel and I tried the Bose ones. they work really well but the one drawback is that they do cancel whatever sound is supposed to be there that is masked by the noise thats being canceled. it's a little weird listening to music that you know really well with them because you can tell something is missing but it's hard to tell exactly what.
