Golf on Thanksgiving

Weather was too bad for me to play but not bad enough to keep my friend from playing. So I tagged along with the camera over my shoulder (some of the time).









All shots taken with the a700 and the Sigma 24-70 2.8 HSM. I was testing it as a walk around lens. Some good, some not so good. This lens requires careful consideration of bokeh. Can still get some pretty sharp shots though.

Hi jb, I also really like #1. I think you made the right choice, to takeyour camera bag rather than your golf bag .

Thanks guys. It was much more relaxing. You can delete bad shots with the camera. Not so with the scorecard.

There must be one or two turkeys in your town out there that are giving thanks that at least some guys are better of golfing and shooting than enjoying a roasted turkey leg on Thanksgiving Day!

Lovely misty shots Jbtaylor. I like the monochromes better for their subtle moodiness and story-telling.

#3 is a perfect classic golfer shot. While it may have been done by others before, it always feels good to get some of the classic shots under your belt on your own!

Thanks Dusty. It does rather Hoganesque doesn't it.
That was the last of the full swing sequence that I did on this particular shot. The rest were OK but not as classic.
This one was a keeper as well but did not get the B&W treatment. Notice how the the shaft is loaded at the top.
