Very lovely buddies! :)

Good thinking that Abby decided to lie down so Reagan wouldn't injure his/her neck when looking up at Abby's face while chatting and purring...

Hello to those who love animals and creatures that come bearing love! :D

Our judges for this challenge are the pets in the photos themselves and you will hear from them what they think of their photographers and why they deserve to be winners.

Pippin the judge:
“The reason I choose my master and his photographic skills as the deserving party is because he cooperated my facial colouring and texture to bring out my fine canine bone structure. He subtly lighted the central section of my face and eyes, thus making my eyes look compessionate and alert at the same time while dissolving my darker side features into a darkened background.

It’s a timeless, universal frame that can represent the canine species and its virtues as a friendly companion to human kind.
Paul, thank you for making me look so noble, loving and the dog that I am! And submitting my photo to the challenge.

Therefore I gladly grant to you the first place as the winner my dear master, Paul! :D
Enjoy!

Nelke and Magnus ponder on Mike:

“ We always enjoy Mike’s attentive approach when he has the camera around us: Good lighting that enhances the bright sheen of our groomed fur; some warm humour in the scene; and precise timing to make us look all the more lovable to the viewer.

We’re seasonal workers of the household as can be seen but we also get a good amount of luxury for indulgence.
We select Mike as our winner and like to see moe of ourselves in the forum!

Thank you, Mike! :D

Yours truly as long as the pillows are soft and puffy...

Gremlin, the judge , on master Maxxuus’ photo entry:

“ My master is a smart photographer who uses my scruffy, furry looks as the base material he wishes to acquire in the end product. A similarly coloured background blends my scruffy gray-white appearence in while the mild grainy noise matches the characteristic looks of a Lhasa Apso.

My beautiful, questioning brown eyes are nicely defined by the reflections of light and I am proud to harbour the look of the ‘ goatie-bearded sage of the village’ .

Thank you Maxxuus, for my insightful portrait. I am happy to follow you around and cast wise upward glances of approval in your direction.

You are my number ONE winner! :D

Where do we ‘paw’ ourselves away to now?

Yours truly,

Gremlin

Aster,

^^^ Really? The pic is noisy, soft and focus point isn't even on the dogs face/eyes (it's behind the face on the ear on the right side of the pic.... )

Lexie the judge speaks for Javelin:

“ I am a genuine red head and light loves to play sheenful gimmicks on my shiny fur when outdoors under the bright rays of yet an other red head, the Sun! So it’s a trick of fixing the right exposure when shooting my portrait.

My photo could benefit from an other angle of view but I look very alert, energetic and attentive in this photo which is only typical of me.

Javelin, my master, I choose you as my winner for the first place and no other and I will try to stand at a better angle next time!
Thank you for the nce portrait and show me off to strangers mor often because I’d be ever so proud.

Yours truly,
Lexie"

Reagan and Abby vote for David Antony:

“He’s our guy! We enjoy his casual takes on photography and humouristic encounters with his subjects. He likes friendly subjects and goes after them.

In our portrait, we could have looked better with a cropped version that’s sharper. We are very pleased that our frienship is registered with by his camera for eternity.

Thank you David. You’re the person we look for when we want a frame or two! :)

If there are any other photo submitters who are feeling bad about the altered images, it will be no issue to remove them.

In fact, the whole announcement can be removed if required.

Yildiz

Ps. Lonnie your photo was not saved at any particular means. That's exactly how it showed when I had downloaded your images for judging. Can't do anything about that. Your photos should still be in the first page of the thread...I can see them, so should you.

Apoligies for the alteration.

Then I would check on your browser. I do not see the halos and a like that were present in the versions you posted. In fact I have resposted the images in this post and I don't see them there either. Anyone else?

I regret seeing this thread has been taken apart, I didn't see any obvious problem with Aster's 'versions' - it just seemed like harmless fun to me, clever and amusing, and not the easiest thing to get right. Obviously it wasn't right, but we should not take this too seriously.
