Hello everybody, been lurking around here for a few days so thought it was time I introduced myself.
Anyway, everybody seems really friendly, so be nice!
I shoot with a Sony a200 currently, with the kit lens, Tamron 55-200, Sony 50, 1.8 and just got a Minolta 35-105.
My pictures can be viewed over at flickr here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tsoptc/
I still very much class myself as a beginner but hope this starts to change as I learn more and more.
Thanks for looking.
I'm new, be nice!

Hi there! From where do you hail, TSOPTC33? And how should we interpret your name...tilt/shift optic?
Let me extend a warm Photoclub Alpha welcome to you! We're a pretty jolly community as internet forums go, but we have our more colorful discussions, too. We look forward to seeing what you do with your kit and helping you grow in familiarity with the system . Personally, I'm kinda eager to see what you do with the 50/1.8, as I don't think we have many here who use it yet.

Welcome to the forum!
I took a look at your photos. You don't say where you are from, but it looks cold!

Hi TSOPTC33 and welcome to the forum. I think the forum has a broad degree of expertise from beginners through to grizlled veterans and experts, and we're all always hungry to see new pictures .
I liked your Flickr shots in the snow. I'm guessing you're from the NE UK?

Apologies, this is a back end town in the North East of England, UK, really got nothing going for it, but I think that just adds to why I love it so much.bossel wrote:Right ... uhhmmm ... come again? It mostly consists of the steel industry and has done for roughly 150 years, this was why the town is here, but its looking like ending really soon, because the Government will bail out the banks but not the working class man, anyway, thats a completely different issue.
For some reason i havent taken many pictures of the area but heres a few:
The Transporter Bridge Up Close
The Transporter Bridge From a Distance
A local beach
Our Industrial heritage
Hope that clears it up a little bit.
Re: I'm new, be nice!
Nice pictures - I especially like the close-up of the transporter bridge and the b&w beach scene - great stuff. I think heavy industry can be very photogenic with lots of strong, graphic shapes.
