Fogo Island Ice Storm

Unread post by camperbc »

It has been quite a while since I posted any Fogo Island images on any forums; the weather has been terribly dreary, plus lots of sick days. Anyway, I took a few today of the ice storm that we had yesterday, and thought I would share.

All shot hand-held with my Sony Alpha and trusty old Minolta Maxxum 100-200mm F4.5 lens.

The sparrow was taken through my dirty living room window, as was the ice shot with the fishing stage background. For the last one I actually stepped outside!!

That almost makes me feel sorry for a sparrow for the first time, it seems to be saying 'You wouldn't happen to have a thimble full of Budgie seed I could borrow, perchance?'
Greg

ps. I like the backlit icy branches as well.

Lovely shots, the sparrow is nice, but I like #3 the best, the close up of the back lit ice.
Nex 5, Nex 6 (IR), A7M2, A99 and a bunch of lenses.
