I admire the brightness of the colours in your photos. Each bird is in 3 dimensional appearance when shot with such a clear lens and good visibility conditions.
Thanks for sharing. I especially like the details and colour of the first and third while enjoying the bokeh of the second.
Thanks for the comments folks. Florida has many of these little preserves with boardwalks that wind through wetland areas. You see all kinds of birds and all kinds of people. Images like these may seem like they were taken deep in the everglades but more than likely they were taken 2 blocks from a CVS.
A couple more for you.
Birma,
It's a spoonbill of some type and I hear that it's coloring reflects that it's mating season.
Everybody at the preserve was a buzz because of it's presence. He was the star for sure.
Thanks Greg and Steve.
My post production skills are incredibly weak.
I am limited to boosting recovery up to about 80 and clarity to about 40. Then I add a dash of vibrance and blacks. So does that qualify as right out of the camera? Probably not but I stick to working in camera raw (except for the occasional spot healing).
Last one. This is from the everglades. I like it because it seems more "in the wild".
