#1 I haven't seen the real colours, but by changing the WB a bit it's even nicer

#3 Responds well to an increase in saturation, to increase the contrast between the snow and the colours of the balloon!

Love the balloon shot John ! There is definately a story going on there. I bet the "pilot" was getting lots of advice from the crew / passengers.

Thanks Greg, Bossel and Birma! There was quite a lot of shouting and screaming when the balloon would tilt. Bossel- The colors in the street scene are pretty close to the way it looked that night. The streetlight really cast an eerie glow over the street. You are right about the saturation in the balloon shot. Thanks.
Here is a shot of the balloon at full tilt , you can see the people leaning the other way in the basket.. I hung around to see if it would go over all the way (I was going to shout "Oh the humanity!!") Yes I am that tacky... It never did, and the ground crew soon got it under control.

The increased saturation does the last baloon shot a lot of good indeed.

Nice set of images John but I suppose the I like the adventuruous take in the baloon shot, especially the tilted and almost-tipped over instance is great.

Today, near home, cool, cloudy with sunny spells.



I didn't do my usuasl Raw conversion on this as the original jpg's colours were better and I couldn't match them . This dead tree is a favourite of mine. If it ever falls over I will be bereft .

That's a lot of 'scene' with a nice tree silhouette. The tree adds more of a feeling depth to the dramatic sky ahead....Nice swampy place that offers many different photo opportunities.

It was a day of winds and rain showers for us in Istanbul.

Today was 13° C | 0° C

I was at one of our popular shopping malls to see the 'Avatar' movie. I love 3d animations and the real 3d effects that the movie was shot in. It was a good way to spend the afternoon.

The light wasn't the best it could be on such a day of irregular weather conditions but I still took a couple of shots of the architectural aspects of the mall. You know, so that when you come over you won't be a stranger! It's called the 'Kanyon'; as you'll find, it's self-explanatory.

It's a place that I actually like and can find most anything that I'm looking for from books to movies or Sony Center to other technological brands ...and clothes and food of course. I especially like the architecture of this one although it's open to all weather conditions and can be very cold during the winter months. Can be a very windy Canyon...

Incredible colour transition in the sky Bakubo,

Lovely silhouette of fine branches make it feel like an odd-coloured under-water scene with coral-like skeleton structures swaying with the water movement...

Was it cold out there? Any wind?
