The last wedding I shot was actually as a guest. I showed up with my Sony 18-70 (I know) and 50/1.7. Their family volunteer photographer was using a Sony P&S and her batteries went dead after just a couple of pictures. I offered to let them put their memory stick in my camera and shoot the rest with it, and they tried initially, but got lost waiting for a live-view image and looking for the zoom switch. I ended up shooting it all myself and gave them back their memory card when their battery was charged again. Surprisingly, they were able to view the 12 MP images on their 8MP P&S.
