The last two are my favorites. The shoes remind me of the street my grandmother lived on. There were a pair of shoes hanging from a wire for a least 15 years...
Those skyscrapers look like a surrealistic shot from the show "Life After People" one of my kids favorite shows.

Interesting shots Henry, as always, the Mounties always get their man shots is a good'n...probably a good thing they didn't notice you taking them, they might not approve....

Thanks, John. The shoes were on a line right downtown and I maneuvered until I could get the huge Vancouver Olympics banner on the side of a building behind the shoes. Yeah, that Life After People show is interesting. I have seen it a couple of times.

They seemed to have their hands full so I don't think they cared. There was a pretty big commotion on the crowded street and lots of people were watching.

Hi Henry - I really like the 2nd cop shot, and the first building shot. The three faces in the second cop shot are a great combination. In the first building shot I like the figure crossing the street and the stop sign - not entirely sure why, but a lovely shot .

Why are shoes hung over a wire so common? Did someone do it once by accient and now everyone tries to emmulate it? I vaguely remember a scene in Big Fish where the entire town have lost their shoes like this - perhaps is it a basic reference I am missing ?
