Noel Chavasse VC memorial, Liverpool

Unread post by pbrstreetgang »

My A200 has been in use almost daily for the last 2 weeks, now have a battery grip and a Tamron 70-300 on its way :D

Took a break from my usual River Mersey/Liverpool shipping and have visited some of my more local landmarks like Liverpool Cathederal (an impressive place). Finally got round to seeing this memorial in Liverpool. Noel Chavasse is one of only 3 men to win the Victoria Cross TWICE!! I did a little HDR on it and really like the way it now "looks"

Hi pb - I like the look of the shot - the brick work in the background seems to go well with the statue. VC and bar  - had to google him to see the citation - he was in the Royal Army Medal Corps and was awarded the VCs for rescuing wounded men.
Nex 5, Nex 6 (IR), A7M2, A99 and a bunch of lenses.
